『原始とテクノロジーが臨界で交わる国内屈指のテクノパーティ』
MEiYOUがContactから場所を移し、WALL&WALL初にして12周年を祝うアニバーサリーパーティを開催。 音楽性に制限を設けることはなくとも、MEiYOUおよびレーベルTOTEM TRAXは、リスナーの本能と電子音楽欲を刺激する、トライバリッシュな一貫性を有している。
テクノやトランスを軸に描かれる、熱とエネルギーが充満するサイケデリアは、熱狂のさらに先にある、感動にも似た高揚の瞬間を幾度となく演出してきた。 今回の、パーカッションオーケストラLA SEÑASの招聘も、MEiYOUがもつひとつの方向性の表出といっていい。パーカッショニスト総勢8人からなり、世界中のあらゆる打楽器がコンダクターの即興的なハンドサインにしたがって演奏されるLA SEÑAS。連続して体を直撃する生楽器ならではの空気の震えと、途方もないスキル/集中力による、その時その場所でのみ発生する大きなうねりは、ダンスミュージックの根元がもつ深い音楽体験を堪能させてくれるに違いない。
既存のテクノから逸脱した、レフトフィールドやアヴァンギャルドなどのモダンなサウンドを有するAKIRAM ENのラインナップも、原始とテクノロジーが入り混じる、この夜の危ういまでの際を攻める興味深いマッチングといえる。さらに、エクスぺリメンタルトラップ、ベースミュージック等のハイブリッドサウンドデュオHERBALISTEKによるビートの変化や、FUJI ROCK FESTIVALやSUMMER SONICなどのビッグダンスへの招致、John DigweedやDanny TenagliaといったトップクラスからもフォローをうけるSTEPHANE KといったVIPが連なり、このパーティは計り知れない広がりをみせる。
そして、MEiYOUのスペシャリティを支えているのは主催DO SHOCK BOOZEとTARZANであることは紛れもなく、有機的な素材でビルドさせる巨大な音楽建築は、毎度のようにオーディエンスをその日の最高到達点へと導いてきた。
WALL&WALLの2フロアを解放して、MEiYOUが次のフェイズへと進む。国内最高峰の室内音響特性をもつシステムと、MEiYOU特有のパーカッショニズムや、緻密な低域との絶妙な相性は、身体と心が鼓動する燃えるような夜を繰り広げてくれそうだ。

“Primitive meets Technology. One of the best tribal techno parties in Japan”
MEiYOU, formerly held at Contact, will be celebrating its 12th anniversary at WALL & WALL for the first time. MEiYOU and the label TOTEM TRAX have a tribalistic consistency that excites the listener’s instincts and cravings for electronic music. Centered around hard techno and trance, the music stimulates one psyche with great energy, which leads the listener to a state of excitement and a wide range of emotions.
Their invitation of LA SEÑAS to this time’s MEiYOU is an example of their goal to move people’s bodies and hearts through rithym. LA SEÑAS is a percussion orchestra consisting of 8 percussionists playing instruments from all over the world, lead by the conductor’s improvisational hand signs. Their unique and skillful performance lets you enjoy a deep musical experience with distinct vibrations that can only be made by accoustic instruments. These vibrations are the root of dance music.
AKIRAM EN’s music deviates from existing techno genre with his leftfield and avant-garde approach. Primitiveness and technology merge in his unique mix of sound, lifting the event to the next level energy in the night.
HERBALISTEK has a hybrid sound of experimental trap and bass music, bringing the night a new groove.
STEPHANE K is a big name in music performing at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and SUMMER SONIC along side artist such as John Digweed and Danny Tenaglia.
With a such VIP lineup, the night is sure to be one to remember.
